<p>A circuit for use in conditioning a signal from a speed sensor. The circuit is configured to receive an analog signal from a speed sensor coupled to the circuit, acquire a threshold of the analog signal, generate a digital signal corresponding to the analog signal, based on the threshold, and output the digital signal. The threshold can be set by an operator, or it can be dynamically adapted, depending on the variance, i.e. the difference between the positive and negative excursions). Optionally, the threshold is modified by applying a hysteresis value. Errors in the sensor signals can be detected and corresponding error codes can be stored in a memory.</p> |
