PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus that has high light distribution characteristics in the lateral direction even if using LEDs as a light source, and has high design properties while reducing labor when machining a light guide plate.SOLUTION: Diffusion areas 42 are provided at the position being symmetric by using a bisector 41c of a principal surface as a symmetric surface. Also, the diffusion areas 42 are respectively symmetrically provided to become substantially the same area at right side and left side by using the bisector 41c of the principal surface as the symmetric surface. Accordingly, the light applied from a light source is to spread by substantially the same intensity in the right direction and in the left direction by the plurality of diffusion areas 42 provided at a light guide plate 40a and a light guide plate 40b, and thereby the directions of both sides are made bright uniformly, respectively. |
