<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate the generation of water droplets due to dew condensation in a condensation part formed at a position lower than a guide surface of a separation member, and evaporate the generated water droplets in the condensation part to prevent the occurrence of recording defects due to dew condensation.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes a heating member, a pressure member that forms a nip with the heating member, and a separation member that is arranged on the downstream side in a medium conveyance direction of the nip part. The separation member includes a guide part that has a guide surface to guide a recording medium to be conveyed, a condensation part that is formed at a position separated from the guide surface with respect to the medium to be conveyed, and a leading edge part that is arranged on the upstream side in the medium conveyance direction of the separation member to extend in a direction orthogonal to the medium conveyance direction. The condensation part includes an inclined surface that is inclined in a direction to be separated from the guide surface, and a plane part that extends from one end side on a lower side of the inclined surface. The guide part and the leading edge part are formed integrally with a resin member, and the plane part is formed of a metal member.</p> |
