PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize power supply states of circuit blocks which can perform power supply control, according to operation of a system using an information processing device.SOLUTION: For controlling an arithmetic unit which comprises a plurality of circuit blocks and a plurality of switches connected between the respective circuit blocks and a power supply, a configuration information analysis unit 501 determines presence of a target circuit block of power supply control on the basis of configuration information on a plurality of pieces of data processing to be successively executed by the arithmetic unit, and creates first and second power supply control methods when there is the target circuit block of power supply control. Power calculation units 502 and 503 calculate amounts of power consumption to be consumed by the arithmetic unit if power supply states of the plurality of circuit blocks are controlled by the respective first and second power supply control methods. A comparison unit 504 compares the power consumption values corresponding to the respective first and second power supply control methods, and selects the first or second power supply control method. A power supply control signal generation unit 505 generates control signals for controlling opening or closing of the respective switches according to the selected power supply control method. |
