PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article inspection apparatus that eliminates time and effort for interruption work performed by another operator while an operator is working, that allows an operator to work smoothly, and that can store and output operator information useful for management as part of a production line.SOLUTION: A weight sorting machine 1 obtains quality data of an object W to be inspected that is conveyed by a conveyance section 3, and compares the quality data with a preset reference value to inspect whether or not the quality of the object W to be inspected is good. The weight sorting machine 1 includes an operation section 14, and a storage section 7 for presetting and storing the name of an operator in charge of operation of the operation section 14 and the name of an administrator who can operate the operation section 14 in addition to the operator in charge.
