PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current collector which is easy to manufacture and manage dimensions and widens a proper deflection range in order to settle an elastic deformation amount of a current collector of a rotary connector within a proper range.SOLUTION: A spiral current collector 3 is obtained not by molding a roller current collector into a cylindrical shape like the prior arts but by spirally molding a tape-like thin plate or a wire material such as a filament wire. Since the spiral current collector 3 is manufactured by spirally molding the tape-like thin plate or the filament wire, materials are prevented from being wasted like cutting work, and since it can be manufactured with a simple jig, initial investment such as a metal die is not required. Further, since a repulsive force (contact pressure) of a spring is small, a proper range of deflection required for settling the contact pressure within a predetermined range is widened, thereby setting a wide dimensional tolerance of an outer circumferential member 2, a shaft body 1, and the spiral current collector 3. Moreover, since positioning and the deflection can be independent for each helical winding, a microscopic contact area (true contact area) becomes wider and contact resistance is decreased. |
