The fastening element has a fastening element main portion which is clamped in a hole of a wall (7). A plug (1) is inserted into a dowel expansion portion made of plastic. The plug has an upper insertion section (4) and lower expansion portion (5) made of break and shear-resistant material, which are integrally formed in an expansion portion through pin or screw. A spreading sleeve with internal teeth surrounds the expansion portion, and is formed into a rod shaped structure.
