The machine (10) i.e. electric motor (11) has a rotor (14) arranged in a stator (12) and comprising an armature shaft (60). An armature core (62) is fixed on the armature shaft in a torque-proof manner to receive electrical windings (64). The armature shaft is supported in a pole housing (16) and/or a housing portion by using a rotor bearing. Axial magnetic leakage flux of the armature shaft and the rotor bearing is suppressed by regions (78), which are made of magnetically non-conductive material and/or material having less magnetic conductivity.
