The belt tensioning device (1) has first tension roller (2) and second tension roller (3), which act on a belt with bias force in a circumferential direction before and after a belt pulley (5) of a generator. A linear tensioner (10) is provided for generating the biasing force. One clamping lever (7) is rotatably supported on another clamping lever (6), where the linear tensioner is hinged with its first end on former clamping lever and with its second end on latter clamping lever.
