Various embodiments of the present invention can provide a data managing method for an electronic device and an electronic device to perform the same. According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, provided is a method which includes the steps of: displaying a virtual container corresponding to a folder generated to receive at least one data; adding a file link item including at least one data and information about a name and a path of the data to a content list of the virtual container; and when a user command associated with the file link item included in the virtual container content list is detected, performing at least one function corresponding to the user command, and an electronic device thereof. |
