A tubeless pneumatic tyre comprises an ordinary outer cover 22 airtightly sealed to the rim by a rubber band extending over the rimbase 21 and along the side-flanges 21<SP>1</SP>, inflation being effected through a valve 26 fitted to the rim. The rubber band may consist of a single strip 23<SP>2</SP>, Fig. 3, or a flattened tube 31, 32, Fig. 4, in either form an aperture 27 being provided for communication between the valve 26 and cover 22. Figs. 3 and 4 respectively show the relative positions of the parts after and before inflation. |
