PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of improving uniformity of static magnetic field within pre-pulse region and improving image quality.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a derivation part; and an imaging control part. The derivation part acquires magnetic field distribution for a predetermined range as a target, and derives a shimming value applied to shimming for correcting nonuniformity of static magnetic field on the basis of the acquired magnetic field distribution. The imaging control part applies RF (Radio Frequency) pulse to a pre-pulse region and an imaging region, respectively, while executing shimming to which the shimming value is applied to acquire a magnetic resonance signal. The derivation part acquires magnetic field distribution for a range including the pre-pulse region as a target, and derives the shimming value. |
