PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a subject remotely designated by an operator be more accurately followed regardless of a communication time lag.SOLUTION: An imaging device externally controlled by a remote operation terminal comprises: communication means for granting grant information to an image signal generated by imaging means to transmit it to the remote operation terminal, receiving position information on a subject designated when the subject is designated in an image that is being displayed on a display unit of the remote operation terminal, and receiving the grant information from the remote operation terminal when the image signal is displayed on the display unit; holding means for holding the image signal generated by the imaging means on the basis of communication delay time calculated on the basis of the received grant information, for a predetermined period; selection means for selecting an image signal held in the holding means on the basis of communication delay time calculated when receiving the position information; and identification means for identifying a region for following the subject from a present image signal on the basis of the selected image signal and received position information. |
