<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability and operation rate of a pitching machine used in a batting center.SOLUTION: In a pitching machine (C) and a batting center (A) using it, a ball shooting device (1) is disposed facing toward a batting box (B), an operating device (D) is disposed in the vicinity of the batting box (B), and a control device (E) is connected to the ball shooting device (1) and the operating device (D). The ball shooting device (1) can change a ball speed of a ball (2) to be shot by continuously varying an air pressure. The operating device (D) includes a ball speed operating member (58) capable of continuously changing the ball speed; and a ball speed display member (59) for displaying the ball speed preset by the ball speed operating member (58). The control device (E) controls the ball shooting device (1) to shoot the ball (2) with the air pressure corresponding to the ball speed preset by the ball speed operating member (58) of the operating device (D).</p> |
