The invention relates to a circuit arrangement and to a method for operating and dimming at least one LED. The LEDs are supplied from a bridge arrangement, the frequency (fHB) of the actuating signals (AH, AL) being increased with increasing dimness up to a specifiable dimming threshold (SW) in order to dim the at least one LED. The output signal of the bridge arrangement is short-circuited by means of a short-circuit device (18) during specifiable periods of time in order to adjust dimming values which lie below the specifiable dimming threshold (SW). |
