The invention relates to an energy generation unit, comprising a high-temperature fuel cell stack (10) which is operated with liquid fuel, and a reformer catalyst (11) connected upstream of the fuel cell stack (10) for processing the fuel, comprising a device (20) for feeding the liquid fuel into the fed-back anode exhaust gas and comprising an oxidation catalyst (17) for the aftertreatment of the exhaust gases of the fuel cell stack (10). In accordance with the invention, a first section (1) of the energy generation unit, which contains at least the reformer catalyst (11) connected upstream on the anode side, the oxidation catalyst (17) and possibly the device (20) for feeding the liquid fuel, is connected detachably to a second section (2) of the energy generation unit via an adaptor plate (3), said first section substantially comprising the high-temperature fuel cell stack (10), wherein gas exchange and gas distribution channels (7, 8) are formed in the adaptor plate (3) for the gas-tight connection of the individual components of the first section (1) to those of the second section (2). |
