The diagnostic device has: a determination standard setting unit configured so as to set a determination standard for performing the determination on the basis of the relationship between the rotational speed of the main shaft and the physical amount; and a determination unit configured so as to determine whether an error exists in the measured value of the physical amount, on the basis of a measured value for the physical amount as measured by the physical amount sensor, a measured value for the rotational speed of the main shaft as measured by the rotational speed sensor, and the determination standard set by the determination standard setting unit.
