PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document clamping plate opening/closing device capable of continuously performing elastic force fine adjustment of elastic means easily by using a tool, and an office machine using the document clamping plate opening/closing device.SOLUTION: A document clamping plate opening/closing device includes a fitting member 4, a support member 8 fitted to be rotatable, a lifting member 13 fitted to be rotatable in an opposite direction, a pressure receiving member 16 disposed in the fitting member 4, an operation member 17 disposed in the lifting member 13, a first spring receiving member 11 disposed to be slidable by being held in cantilever by the pressure receiving member 16, a second spring receiving member 12 contacted with the operation member 17 and disposed to be slidable, and a compression coil spring 14 elastically disposed between the second and first spring receiving members 12 and 11. The operation member 17 includes movable elastic force adjustment means D contacted with the second spring receiving member 12. |
