PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a focus unevenness in a projection surface to be generated when a projection device is tilted to a screen.SOLUTION: A projection device 100 has: projection means 171 for projecting an image onto a projection surface; adjustment means 170 for adjusting a focus position of a projection image; acquisition means 194 for acquiring a distance to the projection means from at least two positions spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance of a periphery of the projection image; determination means 111 for determining whether or not the at least two positions are simultaneously focused from a difference between a maximum value of the distance and a minimum value thereof; and reduction means 140 for, when the at least two positions are not simultaneously focused, reducing the projection image on the basis of a distance acquired by the acquisition means.
