PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for configuring a system which displays a high-definition image using an inexpensive unit.SOLUTION: A system includes an image output device and a plurality of display devices, and displays one image by connecting display areas of the devices. The image output device includes: acquisition means for acquiring image data; communication means for communicating with the display device; and communication control means for determining the order of transmitting image data to the display device or whether to transmit it, on the basis of information of the display area of the display device. The display device includes: communication means for communicating with the image output device; image processing means for extracting image data corresponding to the information of the display area for the device from the image data received from the image output device; and display control means for outputting the image data extracted by the image processing means to the display area.
