PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the volume of a cellulose type organic material included in an organic waste occurring from a nuclear facility, enhance an elution function of a radioactive nuclide from the organic waste without using sulfuric acid, and promote oxidative degradation of the residue of the organic waste to reduce a use amount of oxidant.SOLUTION: A treatment method for an organic waste occurring from a nuclear facility includes a cellulose degradation step of degrading a cellulose type organic material included in the organic waste including a radioactive nuclide with enzyme to make a cellulose degradation product, a chemical decontamination step of performing chemical decontamination of the organic waste with carboxylic acid, and an oxidative degradation step of oxidizing and degrading the cellulose degradation product and a radioactive nuclide solution generated in the chemical decontamination step with hydrogen peroxide or ozone. |
