PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone-modified wax which has high compatibility to oil solutions, such as volatile and nonvolatile silicone oil, hydrocarbon oil, ester oil, and a natural animal/plant oil solution, and can be formed into a pasty or solid composition, which is smooth and spreads well, by thickening various oil solutions, and to provide a method for producing the silicone-modified wax, and a composition and a cosmetic containing the silicone-modified wax.SOLUTION: The silicone-modified wax is obtained by carrying out hydrosilylation reaction of methylhydrogen organopolysiloxane with a product which has an urethane bond obtained from polyhydric alcohol having one or two alkenyl groups in one molecule and alkyl isocyanate. The silicone-modified wax is a solid or grease-like substance having thixotropy at 25°C. |
