<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spare tire which is light in weight and in which fitting is easy and the minimum function for a tire can be maintained.SOLUTION: The spare tire of the invention is a spare tire which comprises a first part including two almost semicircle side faces each of which is hollowed by an almost semicircle at the center, a second part including two almost semicircle side faces each of which is hollowed by an almost semicircle at the center, holder plates which are fixed loosely by rivets to both of the first part and the second part, latches fixed by springs to the almost semicircle side faces of the first part, and holes for latch engagement provided on the almost semicircle side faces of the second part. The first part is movable against the second part, and the spare tire can function as a tire by engaging the latches with the holes for latch engagement under the condition that the first part and the second part cover a normal vehicle tire.</p> |
