The size of the gap between the positive electrode and the negative electrode is preferably 0.1-1mm. This electrode (10) for generating hydrogen-containing water includes a positive electrode (11) which is a cylindrical conductor and has multiple openings (11H) in the side portion, an insulator (13) which is provided on the outer periphery of and contacts the positive electrode (11) and has multiple openings (13H), and a negative electrode (12) which is a cylindrical conductor provided on the outer periphery of and in contact with the insulator (13) and which has multiple openings (12H) in the side portion.
