Provided is a pneumatic tire (1) capable of minimizing temperature rise in a central region having a high calorific value in a tread part over the entire central region. This pneumatic tire (1) is provided with: a lug groove (6) which is open to a tread end (E), extends to a tire equatorial plane (C) side, and terminates before arriving at the tire equatorial plane (C); and a communication groove (7) which causes the lug grooves (6) respectively located on both sides with the tire equatorial plane (C) therebetween to communicate with each other, the pneumatic tire (1) being configured by providing, in each tread region (8) demarcated between the lug grooves (6) and the communication grooves (7) respectively adjacent to each other in a tread circumferential direction between the treat end (E) and the tire equatorial plane (C), at least one width direction groove (12) that extends in a tread width direction and has a tread width direction outer end (12a) terminating in the tread region (8). |
