<p>A vascular closure device (10) includes a carrier tube (12) and a sleeve (14). The carrier tube (12) includes at least first (34) and second (36) lumens, the first lumen (34) being configured to hold a sealing member (18), the second lumen (36) being configured to provide blood flow from a distal opening (44) thereof to a proximal opening (46) thereof. The sleeve is positioned on the carrier tube and movable from a first position, wherein blood flow through the second lumen is unobstructed, to a second position covering the distal and proximal openings to block blood flow through the second lumen.</p> |
