The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for a modified rubber compound which comprises: a step of manufacturing an acid anhydride-grafted natural rubber by making a natural rubber react with a peroxide based initiator and an acid anhydride; and a step of making the acid anhydride-grafted natural rubber react with nylon, and to a modified rubber compound manufactured thereby. The manufacturing method for a modified rubber compound of the present invention is able to provide a modified rubber compound with excellent gas barrier properties, mechanical properties and wear properties.
