PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress gradation deterioration without disposing any dummy pixel, and to achieve high picture quality display which is excellent in gradation by adjusting the suppressing effects in accordance with variations in the analog switch characteristics of a display element.SOLUTION: An analog signal generation part 101 for conversion generates a digital video signal SVD for display and a lamp signal VREF synchronized with each other. Histogram memories 206a and 206b generate the histogram values of the odd lines and even lines of input image data ID. A lamp signal generation part 212 generates lamp signal data VREFD indicating non-linear inclinations variably controlled in accordance with the histogram value of each line of digital video signal data such that load fluctuation in the lamp signal output terminal of the analog signal generation part 101 for conversion can be suppressed, and outputs the lamp signal data VREFD via a DA converter 213 to a plurality of analog switches as the lamp signal VREF. |
