<p>[Solution] A power prediction device that predicts the magnitude of a third power that needs to be generated, upstream of a distributed power supply, along a power line that connects an electrical load, to which a first power is supplied, and the distributed power supply, which outputs a second power in order to supply power to the electrical load. Said power prediction device is provided with a first prediction unit, a second prediction unit, and a third prediction unit. The first prediction unit predicts the magnitude of the first power on the basis of a correlation equation that represents the correlation between the following: the magnitude of the first power at a first point in time; and the magnitude of the first power at an earlier second point in time and weather information for the location of the electrical load at said second point in time. The second prediction unit predicts the magnitude of the second power in accordance with predicted weather information for the location of the distributed power supply. The third prediction unit predicts the magnitude of the third power in accordance with the difference between the prediction result from the first prediction unit and the prediction result from the second prediction unit.</p> |
