摘要 A method and control nodes for controlling load-based handover in a mobile telecommunications network is proposed and at least one logical control node for controlling resources in said cell and at least one logical service node for controlling quality of service, wherein said logical service node comprises terminal instruction means for instructing a mobile terminal communicating with said at least first base station to perform a handover, comprising the steps of—determining, in the CRNC, if the load in the cell exceeds a first threshold,—selecting, in the CRNC, a mobile terminal that should be moved to another carrier if the load in the cell exceeds the first threshold, and—instructing, from the CRNC, the SRNC to instruct the at least one mobile terminal to perform a handover.

A logical control node for use in a mobile telecommunications network for controlling at least a first base station serving a first cell, said control node comprising functions for controlling resources in said cell and for communicating with a logical service node arranged to control quality of service, said logical service node comprising a context initiator configured for initiating an action needed for a handover, and a terminal instructor configured to instruct a mobile terminal communicating with said at least first base station to perform a handover, said logical control node comprising: a determinator configured to determine if the load in the cell exceeds a first threshold, a selector configured to select at least one mobile terminal communicating with the at least first base station which should be moved to another carrier if the load in the cell exceeds the first threshold, the selector being arranged to receive at least one service indicator for said at least one mobile terminal from said service node and to base its selection on a type of service between the at least one base station and the at least one mobile terminal as indicated by said service indicator; and a control node instructor configured to instruct the context initiator in the logical service node to instruct the at least one mobile terminal to perform a handover to the another carrier; wherein the selector is arranged to receive over an Iur interface the at least one service indicator for said at least one mobile terminal; and wherein the control node instructor is arranged for instructing over the Iur interface the context initiator in the logical service node.
