The assembly (4) has two pole shoes (42) which are each held on holding portion (44) and between which permanent magnet (7) is arranged. The permanent magnet has first holding portion proximal portion and second holding portion distal portion transverse to arrangement direction of the pole shoes, while thickness of the pole shoes are different in arrangement direction. The second holding portion distal portion has two adjacent magnetic regions whose respective direction of magnetization is aligned at specific angle to holding portion opposite to pole shoes edge. An independent claim is included for electric machine.
