PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device which shortens the time for recording.SOLUTION: A recording device 1 includes: a first recording head 16 which makes a record on a first surface of a sheet by ink jet printing; and a second recording head 29 which makes a record on a second surface of the sheet by ink jet printing and is provided at the downstream side of the first recording head 16. The recording device 1 includes a paper discharge sensor 33 which detects the sheet discharged from the second recording head 29. The paper discharge sensor 33 includes an arm for supporting a spur which contacts with the second surface of the transferred sheet and rotates; and a photo interrupter 44 which detects displacement of the arm. |
