METHOD AND MEANS FOR STATE TRANSITION OF ETHERNET(R) LINEAR PROTECTION SWITCHING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for state transition of Ethernet(R) linear protection switching.SOLUTION: A method for state transition of a local end of a protection group of Ethernet(R) linear protection switching in a local network element is provided. The method includes the steps of: receiving a first message configured to change a state of the local end in a first state, the first message being overwritten by the first state; receiving a second message configured to change the state of the local end; determining a second state of the local end on the basis of the first message and the second message; and changing the state of the local end into the second state. Thus, unwanted state transition is eliminated and a traffic loss caused by the unwanted state transition is eliminated.
