<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an austenitic stainless steel capable of exerting excellent creep strength in a high-temperature environment over a long period, without addition of an expensive metal, e.g. W, Mo or Cu.SOLUTION: An austenitic stainless steel comprises: C:0.01-0.10 mass%; Si:0.10-1.00 mass%; Mn:0.10-2.50 mass%; Ni:15.0-25.0 mass%; Cr:20.0-30.0 mass%; Nb:0.10-0.60 mass%; Ta:0.20-1.00 mass%; B:0.0005-0.0050, mass%; N:0.10-0.30 mass%; S:0.0050 mass% or lower and higher than 0 mass%; P:0.050 mass% or lower and higher than 0 mass%; and remaining iron and unavoidable impurities, and has a Ta/Nb ratio of 0.8-4.0.</p> |
