PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply device that can reduce an error in power supplied to a load. ! SOLUTION: A switching power supply device 1 according to an embodiment includes a switching element SW connected in series with an inductor L1, and a control circuit 10 for controlling the switching element SW. The control circuit 10 includes a reset signal generation circuit 11 including a peak hold circuit 12, an amplifier AMP1 and a comparison circuit CMP1. The peak hold circuit 12 holds a peak value CS_PH of a voltage signal Vcs. The amplifier AMP1 inputs a reference voltage Vref to a non-inverting input terminal and inputs the peak value CS_PH of the voltage signal Vcs to an inverting input terminal, and outputs a reference voltage Vref' from an output terminal.
