<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion vector detecting device which can precisely estimate a motion vector at high speed.SOLUTION: A motion vector detector for searching for an image similar to an original image from N (N is a natural number) input images and detecting it as a motion vector, includes: image feature extracting means for extracting an image feature from the original image; inter-image difference information calculating means for calculating inter-image difference information by using a difference between an i-th input image (i is a natural number whose maximum value is N) and the original image; motion vector estimating means for estimating N motion vectors from the image feature and inter-image difference information corresponding to the i-th input image, respectively; a motion vector evaluation value calculating means for calculating an evaluation value in each point in vicinity by using the motion vector, the image feature and the inter-image difference information in a previously determined vicinity of an image area of the original image; and motion vector determining means for determining the motion vector in the vicinity on the basis of the evaluation value and outputting it as the detected motion vector.</p> |
