a module connected to a communication bus, the module comprising a scheduler coupled to a virtual clock and configured to:
receive a virtual schedule that provides a first slot for sending a first message over the communication bus and a second slot for sending a second message over the communication bus, anddetermine a virtual time for sending the first message according to the virtual schedule; and wherein the module is configured to send the first message over the communication bus according to the virtual time.
