A male F-Type coaxial cable connector has an improved RF shield including a bridge located between and electrically interconnecting a connector fastening nut and a connector body portion. The bridge may be in the form of a metal ring or similar material with a cone-like shape and may include a gap, for example a gap to provide resiliency.

1. A method of improving a coaxial cable connector comprising the steps of:
providing an electrically conductive bridge having a cone-like shape and a centerline about coincident with a central axis of the connector; and, improving the shielding of a conductor located along the connector central axis by locating the bridge in a gap between coaxially arranged first and second connector parts, the first part being rotatable with respect to the second part.
