The invention relates to an anti-microbial polymer which preferably can be thermoplastically processed, to a method for producing the same and to the use thereof as an anti-microbial finish. The invention further relates to polymer blends containing anti-microbial polymers and to the use of special monomers for the preparation of anti-microbial polymers which preferably can be thermoplastically processed.
