The present invention provides a method, device and terminal equipment for cleaning up memory. The method for cleaning up memory comprises: obtaining the information of application processes occupying the memory of the terminal equipment; determining the first application processes of the application processes are the application processes which can not be cleared up according to the behavior characteristic information of the application processes used by a user; and carrying out cleaning up memory to the application processes except the first application processes in the application processes. Consequently, the cleaning up memory can be realized according to the behavior characteristic information of the application processes used by the user, and running performance of the terminal equipment is improved. Meanwhile, the method for cleaning up memory solves the problems in the prior art, enables the required response time to be reduced when the user restarts the first application progresses, and guarantees the effects of use experience of the user to the terminal device. |
