An oil seal for preventing an oil leakage is provided to suppress partial wear of the oil seal rib in spite of a processing error of a seal mounting part of a housing. An oil seal(3) for preventing an oil leakage has a cross section open in one direction toward a shaft. The cross section of the oil seal includes a frame member(9) which is made of a single body having n shaped cross section. The single body has branch parts which meet the shaft at right angle based on a seal section central line passing through the center of the oil seal section, and a middle part which integrally connects the outside ends of the branch parts. |
