PURPOSE: A modified silica particle, a manufacturing method thereof, an inorganic filler for an engineered stone including the same, an engineered stone including the same, and a manufacturing method of the engineered stone are provided to have excellent whiteness of a modified silica particle, and to have excellent whiteness of an engineered stone in spite that the content of the white pigment is not increased. CONSTITUTION: The whiteness measured according to ASTM E 313 of a modified silica particle is 98 or greater. The modified silica particle has a core-shell structure. The cores includes the silica particle. The shell includes hydroxyapatite, sodium silicate or their mixture. The modified silica particle is plasticized at 800-1500deg.C. |
