<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing device which is powered on only by an operation of holding the photographing device and prevents it from being erroneously powered on in other states, and to provide a method for controlling the photographing device.SOLUTION: The photographing device comprises: an imaging part 2 photoelectrically converting an object image, to output image data, an acceleration detection part 5 including a sensor to which power is supplied even when a power supply is turned off, to detect movement in at least one direction of a plurality of directions and outputting a detection signal, when the output of the sensor exceeds a threshold; an AD conversion part 1d performing AD conversion on the output of the sensor; a first power supply part 1a supplying the power to the imaging part 2; a second power supply part 1b supplying the power to the AD conversion part; and an image processing and control part 1 supplying the power to the AD conversion part from the second power supply part 1b, according to the detection signal from the acceleration detection part 5 and controlling the supply of the power to the imaging part 2 from the first power supply part 1a, based on an AD converted value by the AD conversion part.</p> |
