<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of detecting an object without having an object detection disabled period when changing an imaging range.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 106 includes: background information preparation means for preparing background information from a reference video; and object detection means for detecting object information in an input video from the difference between the background information and the input video. When an imaging range is changed, the background information preparation means re-prepares new background information from the reference video generated after changing the imaging range, and prepares provisional background information corresponding to a common area among the reference videos generated before and after changing the imaging range by means of the background information before the change which was prepared before changing the imaging range and stored in storage means 110. In terms of the detection of object information in the input video generated after changing the imaging range, the object detection means employs the difference between the provisional background information and the input image for the above difference until the preparation of the new background information is completed.</p> |
