PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component with high reliability by preventing cracks and the like of a package body, and preventing ambient air from entering into a housing space. ! SOLUTION: An electronic component 100 comprises: a package body 110 that houses a crystal vibration piece 150; lead-out electrodes 134, 135 provided on the package body 110 and jointed to the crystal vibration piece 150; external electrodes 136, 137 provided on the package body 110; and through electrodes 140, 141 electrically connecting the lead-out electrodes and the external electrodes. The external electrodes 136, 137 (lead-out electrodes 134, 135) are formed by sequentially laminating first conductive porous metal films 135a, 137a, and second metal films 135b, 137b having conductivity and larger density than that of the first metal films on the package body 110.
