PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel biological treatment method of high concentration oil-containing waste water capable of efficiently biologically treating oil-containing waste water directly without requiring arrangement of a conventional oil trap or a pressure floatation device in the fore stage of an active sludge tank causing generation of oil sludge, and especially without requiring input of an oil degrading enzyme or yeast into the waste water or an aeration tank.SOLUTION: There is provided a biological treatment method of high concentration oil-containing waste water including arranging a microorganism tank as an A tank without arranging an oil trap or a pressure floatation device in the fore stage of an active sludge tank, conducting an aerobic treatment of the waste water by the microorganisms in a substantial absence of protozoans in the A tank, and treating it in an active sludge tank as a B tank after the treatment in the A tank, and the treatment in the A tank is conducted with a condition of HRT of 3 to 12 hours. |
