PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spigot projection in which the spigot projection is hard to be off from a spigot, even if a pull-out force acts on the spigot after fixing it by performing pipe cutting work in a conduit laying site, and furthermore, a position shift of the spigot projection caused when inserting the spigot in a socket can be reliably prevented.SOLUTION: A spigot projection is fixed for taking-out prevention on an outer circumferential surface of a spigot 2 performing pipe cutting work. The spigot projection comprises: a plurality of circular arc-like projection pieces 3 formed of a body part 5 on which gear teeth 5a cutting into the outer circumferential surface of the spigot 2 on an inner circumferential surface and a tip 6; and a pressing ring 4 fixing the projection pieces 3 to the spigot 2 and having the inner circumferential surface formed in a tapered shape. The outer circumferential surfaces of the body part 5 and the tip 6 are formed in the tapered shape, and an abutment surface coming into abutment with the pipe end of the spigot 2 is formed at the tip 6. Thus, the projection pieces are fixed to the spigot 2, by inserting the pressing ring 4 on the outer circumferential surfaces of the projection pieces 3 in which the gear teeth 5a cut into the outer circumferential surface of the spigot 2. |
