<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding device that can easily measure again the thickness of a paper bundle when bookbinding operation is discontinued after the paper bundle is moved to outside of a tray while clamped.SOLUTION: A bookbinding device 3 includes: a matching tray 76 on which text paper sheets P1 are stacked; a pair of clamp plates 86 for clamping a paper bundle PS that comprises the plurality of text paper sheets P1 stacked on the matching tray 76 and moving the paper bundle PS to outside of the matching tray 76; a paper bundle thickness sensor 44 for measuring the thickness of the paper bundle PS when the pair of the clamp plates 86 clamp the paper bundle PS; a paper sensor 70 for detecting the size of a cover paper sheet P2; and a bookbinding control part 50 for performing control so as to return the paper bundle PS to a top surface of the matching tray 76 and release the clamping by the pair of clamp plates 86, when determining that the size of the cover paper sheet P2 is abnormal and thus discontinuing the bookbinding operation after the paper bundle PS is moved to outside of the matching tray 76.</p> |
