PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a material cost low in the case where workpieces made of a steel material are joined together by arc welding.SOLUTION: Firstly, all laminated portions of workpieces made of a steel material are melted to the first workpiece 12, which is a lowermost layer, from the third workpiece 16, which is an uppermost layer, by arc discharge to form a molten pool 18. Subsequently, powder 22 including a chemical element for preferably increasing strength of the steel material is supplied to the molten pool 18. Furthermore, a filler material 26 is supplied into the arc discharge, and arc welding is performed by adding a chemical element, which is derived from the filler material 26, to the molten pool 18 supplied with the powder 22. |
