<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slug pulling prevention method in which when punching is performed so as to generate small punched slugs, the slugs can be prevented from being adhered to a punch blade part and being pulled.SOLUTION: A slug pulling prevention method when punching of a tabular work-piece W is performed by cooperation of a punch die 1 and a die mold 25. In the method, the work-piece is pressed onto a top face of the die mold 25 by a blank holder 7 provided to the punch die 1, and then, a part of the work-piece is punched into a die hole 27 of the die mold 25 by a punch blade part 13 provided to the punch die 1. When the punch blade part 13 is positioned at a position upper than the lower surface of the work-piece and lower than the top face of the work-piece during elevation of the punch blade part 13, a large amount of fluid is blown from the hole portion, which has already been processed in the work-piece, towards the lower side of the punch blade part 13, whereby slugs of small pieces, which are present on the lower side of the punch blade plate 13, are dropped into the die hole 27.</p> |
